The Arizona Renewable Resource and Transmission Identification Subcommittee (ARRTIS) of the Renewable Transmission Task Force (RTTF), has been developed to more specifically identify those areas in Arizona with the best potential for renewable generation project development.

This resource information will be evaluated against specific constraint criteria including land ownership, sensitive lands, terrain and other factors that could influence the location of utility-scale generation facilities.

The ARRTIS will then identify opportunities for future transmission corridors that would link these areas to the existing transmission system or to load pockets in the state.

The recommendations of the ARRTIS, along with those from the RTTF Finance Subcommittee will be useful to the state-regulated utilities in Arizona for ensuring compliance with the Fifth Biennial Transmission Assessment.
