The broad goal of the Transmission Products Work Group (TPWG) is to investigate tariff products for transmission services that serve needs of market participants in addition to the traditional firm and non-firm point-to-point and network products specified by FERC.

The Work Group developed a Conditional Firm Transmission Service Regional Business Practice in 2007 in response to FERC direction to transmission providers in Order 890.

The Work Group is currently actively participating in the Joint Initiatives process facilitated by Columbia Grid, NTTG and WestConnect to develop new products and services for use in the Western Interconnection.
