FERC 890 - Attachment K

The WestConnect Transmission Owners have completed their wesTTrans OASIS sites draft descriptions of their local, subregional and regional transmission planning processes and are inviting comments on the postings.

FERC issued Order 890 in early 2007. While covering a variety of issues, requires each jurisdictional transmission owner to file with FERC an Attachment K to its OATT Tariff by December 7, 2007.

Attachment K is intended to provide a roadmap of the planning processes used by the transmission owner both for individual company planning (local) as well as for coordinated efforts with other entities in subregional (SWAT and CCPG) and regional (WECC) contexts.

The WestConnect-Transmission Owners have posted a draft Attachment K straw on their respective OASIS sites and are inviting comments on those documents. The link to each Transmission Owner’s draft Attachment K straw is listed below.

FERC is holding a Technical Conference in Denver, Colorado on Oct. 23 and 24, 2007 to receive input on the Attachment K straw posted by transmission owners in the Western Interconnection. Supplemental Notice of Technical Conferences (.pdf).

WestConnect plans to hold a stakeholder meeting on Nov. 13 in Phoenix, AZ to receive comments and input on this regional planning issue as well as other topics. More information will be posted to the WestConnect Web site in the near future regarding the meeting logistics and topics for discussion
